We are the sole provider of transport and care for the Children’s Acute Transport Service (CATS).

This includes vehicles and specialist trained technicians who transport critically ill children from the North, South Thames and East Anglia region into Paediatric Intensive Care (PIC).

Each year we transport over 2,000 critically ill children and babies. Most of these children are ventilated, some of them need transport to urgent specialist care if they are to survive. 

Specialist care

We have four transport teams split between North and South Thames regions, available 24 hours a day, each comprising:

  • specialist ambulance
  • ambulance technician
  • CATS nurse
  • CATS doctor using our bespoke designed vehicles.
