About us

St John Ambulance Lancashire has
over 1,100 volunteers within the County.
All our members are trained to the highest standard of
first aid and are able to provide life saving treatment to
members of the public.
St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can
be the difference between a life lost and a life
saved.
As the nation's leading first aid charity, we teach more people
first aid than any other organisation: each
year, more than 800,000 complete a St John Ambulance training
course. Even so, fewer than one in 10 people have been
trained in first aid.
In Lancashire we have training
centres in Preston,
Blackpool,
Morecambe and
Accrington in addition to using several other St John Ambulance
and community buildings across Lancashire for our volunteer Unit
meetings.
The County Headquarters in
Lancashire is based on Garstang Road in Preston. This is
where the day-to-day running of the organisation takes places with
regards to event first aid cover and volunteer enquiries, in
addition to commercial first aid training courses.
In Lancashire, we have 24 Units which
